A village-level solar dryer that hits 65°C — enough to dry mangoes, tomatoes, and chillies in 6 hours instead of 3 days.
Why this matters
Kenyan smallholder farmers lose 30-40% of harvest to spoilage. Existing dryers are gas-powered or imported. Mama-Solar is built from polycarbonate and locally fabricated steel — under $80 per unit.
